Barbeque is a religion in Kansas City. I’d move back to Kansas City just for the great barbeque; it is unequivocal. There are several famous restaurants serving up great barbeque and I tried this restaurant for the first time on my last visit home. The original restaurant is located in an old gas station. We got to the Olathe location at 11:15 a.m. and there was already a long line out the door; it took almost 30 minutes until we got to place our order! No shortage of business here! I personally prefer Fiorella’s Jack Stack Barbeque but Oklahoma Joes is definitely a good place for a casual lunch atmosphere. My sister had the Carolina style pulled pork sandwich (pictured) and I had the brisket sandwich. Both were equally delicious!
